Grace Kelly, the beloved American actress who married Prince Ranier in the spring of 1956, was famously photographed using an Hermes carre as a sling for her broken arm.

The scarf design was appropriately Armes De Monaco Deo Juvante which was issued in 1957 / 1958. The scarf designer is unfortunately not known. The scarf itself, a rare Special Issue, pictured here in Mint condition.
