Histoires De Carres > Spring-Summer 2019
A meeting of two designs: one classically crafted, the other composed of geometric abstractions. Joachim Metz lines up surcingles, designed to hold horses' rugs in place, highlighting the object's understated elegance. Looped over brass rods, they sport the colours of their owners. Opposite is a zigzag of straps imagined by Virginie Jamin. In the illustrator's design, they come to life in a harmonious assortment of stripes and interweaving, as if engaged in a wild cavalcade. Broken and curved lines compose a perfect score, a tribute to the elegance and spirit of the horse.
