  • Hermes introduces its first annual theme with “Year of India”.

  • Hermès introduces the Sabre Silk Twill in its exceptional Les Satines Collection.

2005

  • Hermès introduces the first 55 cm bandana.
  • Bali Barret designs and introduces the first perforated scarf for Hermès.

2007

  • Hermes introduces the first 70 cm scarf (made of vintage silk).

2009

  • Hermès introduces the first Dip Dye Surteint scarf.

2017

  • Tatouage or Tattoo printed monochromatic scarves are introduced.

2019

  • Hermes intoduces the Wash scarf, the result of a new technique, which gives a velvety feel and a patina to the silk.

2020

  • Hermès releases the first 50 cm scarf.
  • The first 20 cm Nano scarf was released in the Classic Collection.
  • The first Double-Sided scarves were produced, introducing a new chapter for Hermès silk.  “Carre Squared” was a major technical innovation for the House, each side presenting a different version of the same design.
  • The Finesse scarf uses a colored thread on printed silk twill to produce new associations of stripes.
  • Hermès issues its first ever Marble Silk scarf made from ancient techniques by craftsmen in Kyoto, Japan.
