The paladin's triumph

Faith crushes the dragon of wickedness. George, a prince of Cappadocia, has been honoured by two of the greatest civilizations: the first, the Greeks, who proclaimed him a "megalomartyr", and also the English, who chose him as their patron saint. Inspired by Cretan icons of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries ans in a setting borrowed from a reliquary of the Holy Cross, here is our chivalric hero in action, pledged to defend the weak.
