Histoires De Carres > Spring-Summer 2020
Virginie Jamin enhances her original Colliers De Chiens composition with a set of canine portraits. Beautifuly drawn, they border this revisited scarf in a series of medallions. At a time of automotive elegance and greyhound racing, dogs were pampered by their owners and their collars had to match their masters' outfits, cars and luggage. So Hermes created numerous models to satisfy these faithful companions, from the most sophisicated of poodles to the most robust of Pyrenean mountain dogs. Chequerboard Moroccan leather, rounded braid, inlaid leather, saddle-stitched, monochrome, two-tone, multi-coloured ... neatly aligned on their display, the patterns are endless.
