Le Carre Hermes Paris >> Printemps - Ete 1998
Back to the Land
A little city dweller with the Christian name of a tree once sang the virtues of these rustic pursuits. gathering apples in Normandy, reaping in the Beauce, grape-picking in the Cevennes and date harvesting in Algeria: a draught of fresh air which cleanses our modern lungs, plagued by ozone as they are. The father of this boy was Robert Dumas, who presided for many years over the destiny of Hermes and who knew that for children, the poetic and the prophetic were only a crayon's reach away.
