Year 1981 - Edited for the wedding of Prince Charles with Lady Diana Spencer
- Ich Dien, medieval German motto, means "I serve". In 1346, during the battle of Crecy en Ponthieu, a French village, Jean ;'Aveugle died. Legend has it that Edward of Woodstock, nicknamed the Black Prince, took his crest, an ornamental parade cap. on which was inscribed his motto "ich dien". Thiswar trophy became the mascot of the Princess of Wales.
