AKA >> To the Glory of William
Le Carre Hermes Paris >> Printemps - Ete 1992
The Norman city of Bayeux is the home of "Queen Matilda's tapestry", a seventy-meter-long work of art telling us the story, in fifty-eight scenes, of how William of Normandy defeated King Harold in the Battle of Hastings and wrestled the English crown from him. A feat all the more remarkable when you consider that transportation in those days was not what it is today. and there was no Chunnel in sight.
