- In 1843, King Louis-Philippe and Queen Victoria met at the Chateau d'Eu in Normandy, northern France. It was in honour of this illustrious meeting that Hermes created this scarf. The first sales were made to the benefit of the Louis-Philippe Museum at the Chateau d-Eu.
