Le Carre Hermes > Fall - Winter 2000 / 2001

Seduction involves conquest and its success depends largely on approach work. In society, a look may be enough, but a few witticisms or compliments well bestowed may help tactically. In the jungle, where the population of humorists and actresses are generally outnumbered by panthers and leopards, one has rather to reveal one's passion with a maximum of grace and a minimum of risk. Be prudent! The wounds may not be merely to your self-esteem: the lady has claws!

H Carre Hermes Paris > Spring - Summer 2000

She waits, eyes elsewhere, with haughty posture, on the alert beneath the air of disdain. He approaches, muscles ripping, blazing with fire, determined on seduction. And he will succeed. Soon the snaring will become a purring and the claws will be all velvet. This is called love, and it happens in the Jungle too, where still the galago, Bullock's bee-eater and the red-breasted woodpecker are more easily found than the sexologist, bristling with diplomas.
