New morning

Every second we are born anew, which is to say we leap into the void, our mission being to fill it. each of our acts gives form to Time, that plastic mixture, which gods and heroes have known how to shape to their image. each morning is a new morning, and when day breaks, the philosopher leaps from his bed, shouting for sheer joy, because optimism is his chosen nutriment: the only breakfast which is in his view seems to conform to the principles of a healthy diet.
