Hermes Histoires de Carres > Autumn - Winter 2021
Created by Hugo Grygkar in 1957, the Brides de gala scarf needs no introduction. Its numerous reinterpretations - Fleuries, Love, Bayadere, Finesse and many others - illustrate the timelessness of the original design that has embodied the house's elegance continuously for more than six decades. Two ceremonial bridles from the second half of the 19th century face each other. The design's rigorous architecture highlights the intricacy of the chased metal, with its crests, foliage and mermaids, as well as the leather work. Thanks to an innovative printing process, this scarf represents a different design on each side.
