Histoires De Carres > Spring-Summer 2019
Giant peonies, fragile and imperious, rise from a proliferation of architectural forms. In a poetic play on scale, their extraordinary corollas bloom over an imaginary city teeming with detail. Beautiful palaces and vast residences have become the sanctuary of luxuriant vegetation. Octave Marsal and Theo de Gueltzl like to work together, bringing their worlds, their dreams and their visions face to face. The utopian universe they have created is an invitation on a meditative journey. And the magic of this composition is that whichever way the eye falls on the scarf, it always makes perfect sense.
