Have you heard of Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos? They are the Moirai, three sisters from Greek mythology, three figures of destiny known to the Romans as the Parcae, and in English as the Fates: the Spinner, the Allotter and the Inflexible. They are generally associated with cosmic cycles, as well as with the goddesses of nature and fertility.
