Man's noble conquest sereves also to display him to best advantage. whether in the headlong fantasia of Mali, or in hunting the giraffe in Burkina Faso, or fording rivers in Togo, lion hunting in Niger or travelling to a feast in Cameroon, the horseman performs wonders and his steed obeys. But it is he or his mount who draws the glances of the beautiful pounders of millet, of the bathers and others who bear pitchers of water? Who knows?
