Warnings used to be the specialty of trains, which once were full of those quadrilingual notices forbidding people to lean out of the windows. They were there too in Pompeii, whose "Cave canem" would nowadays be "Beware of the pitbull !" Here we merely choose to remind mice and little insects to be particularly careful when it comes to cats - feline and with no real malice, they nevertheless play dangerously.
