- The Glass House or Johnson House, built in 1949 in Connecticut, USA, was designed by Philip Johnson (1949-2005). This place is the key point that allowed the artist Elaine Lustig Cohen to find inspiration in 1967 for the creation of a graphic design painting, which inspired Hermes to create the Centered Rhyme scarf. Elaine Lustig Cohen (1927-2016) is an American graphic designer, artist and archivist, known for her work as a graphic designer in the 1950s and 1960s. This is part of Hermes's "silk with a generous fibre" initiative.
