Stalking in the Forest

Since the dawn of time and without assemblies or statutes, the vast society of mutual observation, made up of the hunters and the hunted, has danced to an ecological ballet. Every fox is a rabbit for a dog, every bird falls prey to another and every predator is game for the hunter. At the top is Man, that rational animal, watching over the balance of all: What a responsibility, but also what an honour!
