Pumpkins and colocynths

this is a family matter, a friendly plot hatched by those charming cucurbitaceous plants who impose on us with their stripes, their curves and their delicious names. Pumkin, marrow, squash, gourd and other calabash offer water for our mouths and joy for our hearts. Their further use, as little gardening utensils, serves to remind us that man must pay with his labour too, when he wants nature to help him out.
