Bali Barret, artistic director of the Hermes women's universe since 2009, orchestrated a meeting between Hermes and Comme des Garcons that gave birth to two collections, published in limited editions in 2012 and 2013. Rei Kawakubo, a Japanese designer, is the founder of the Comme des Garcons brand.

The collection is divided into:

"Black and White" exclusively distributed in Comme des Garcons shops in Paris, New York and Tokyo, with 5 exclusive designs and colours.

And "Colour" reserved for the Dover Street Market concept stores in London and Tokyo, with 6 exclusive designs and colours.
