African Spoons
Made in wood, ivory, bone or brass, spoons have resounded in Black Africa since the dawn of time. Here are several arranged in a culinary compass card to set our mouths watering. They have several uses: some of these spoons once measured the gold powder destined for the Portuguese navigators; others served as talismans or lucky charms, exchanged within the tribe as a sign of spiritual union.
