On September 2, 1843, Queen Victoria made a visit to Louis-Philippe at the Chateau d'Eu to celebrate a Cordial Agreement. The medallions in a circle show us: Treport Church; the arrival of the Queen; the canal that links Eu and Treport; the chateau's facade: the drive in a charabanc coach; the return from the drive, painted by Simeon Fort; Louis-Philippe in a rowboat goes to meet Victoria and Albert; anfd finally the meeting under a tent. In the corvers, we see views of Treport.
