These riding accessories, resembling pieces of jewellery, are possessed by joyful creativity. Virginie Jamin has depicted the imaginary and unorthodox wardrobe of an elegant, one-of-a-kind horsewoman. These six stirrups and stirrup leathers are presented in unique colour combinations. Their simplified, stencil-like forms of curves and counter-curves, loops, ornamental braids and twists, are drawn from the the many plates in the illustrated catalogues conserved in the Emile Hermes Collection library. And the interlacing they create gives rise to vibrant light reflections!
