Histoires De Carres > Printemps-Ete 2009
Adventurous madness of the first aeronauts putting their life at danger, and extraviagant madness of the sponsors and spectators financing their feats! All projects portrayed on the carre Les Folies du ciel (revealing eighteen unexpected ways to play balloon!0, alas, never heralded celestial glory. Designed in the 18th and 19th Centuries, some never saw the light of day, remaining as records on paper in the silent depths of Invalides Museum. Precious evidence of man's dream to go "up, up and away"!
