Historias De Carres > Autumn-Winter 2011
A member of a street artists’ collective, Kongo has traversed the planet from Brazil to Hong Kong to paint, create and exchange. A co-founder of the Festival International de Graffiti, he invites artists from all over the world to tag the streets of Bagnolet, in the Parisian suburbs. These communal works pay tribute to the dynamism and diversity of urban culture. From the New York subway to the streets of Paris, street art has established its pedigree. Here Kongo moves from concrete to silk. He expresses himself on this scarf as on a wall, with talent, boldness and energy: a typographical outpouring, a graphic explosion, a polychromatic ferment … Hermes, like the rest of the world, is constantly changing!
