Hermes Histoires De Carres - 2015 (As translated from Mandarin Chinese)
French saddle mix and match
At the end of the 18th century, Charles Percier and Pierre Frangois Fontaine, two architectural students, made friends in France. They have all become top architectural designers, have brilliant careers and are known as representatives of the French imperial style. In 1804, they were appointed as the royal carriage of Napoleon I. The two worked together to design a gorgeous carriage driven by eight horses. However, because the French Revolution had just ended at that time, such a magnificent carriage might ignite the anger of the people again, so the design was not adopted. There is a manuscript of the design in the collection of Emile Hermes. Hugo Grygkar designed this square scarf with a wonderful composition by referring to the eight horse shapes with exquisite saddles and colorful leathers.
