Histoires De Carres > Printemps-Ete 2009

When looking up from Rue du Faubourg Saint Honore, passers-by sometimes catch a glimpse of the silhouette of trees, reflecting in the sky, fleeting and mysterious of a silhouette. Indeed, there exists a secret garden perched on the rooftop of the Hermes boutique. Known only to a select few, its exact composition is revealed just to the birds. Representing a stylish sketch, both modern and classical, the carre evokes a miniature formal garden "a la francaise", with geometric and symmetric flowerbeds surrounded by willow fencing. The whole picture is set around the Hermes-Sellier signature - with its 1930s typography - paying tribute to he who dares stroll along the rooftop.
