Here is the omnipresent carpet beneath the tent, this one from Anatoly or Asia Minor. Its patterns and rhythms are filled with symbols asserting the glory of God, the creator of all things. Tradition, moreover, has it that the weaver slips a mistake into his weaving on purpose, a tribute to the sort of perfection that can only be conceived of as divine. In the end, we can see that these rectangles are nothing less than mirrors, which ultimately reflect a faith.
