  • The Lalbhai Dalpatbhai Institute of Indology (LDI) was established in 1956 by S. K. Lalbhai, a wealthy industrialist, at the request of the Indian monk Munishri Punyavijayji. In the course of his journeys, Munishri collected manuscripts on religious themes, which are now kept at the LDI. A museum department opened its doors to the public in 1984.
