Histoires De Carres > Autumn-Winter 2020
Here, two famous scarves are combined into one, like a contemporary coat of arms. One half of the scarf presents a design by Christiane Vauzelles from 1967 in which two leopards frolic in a stylised natural setting. There is a clear harmony between these felines with mischievous grins, emphasised by the understated plant motifs and the symmetry of the design. On the other half, a collection of saddlery buckles designed in the late 1970s by Francoise de La Perriere pays tribute to Thierry Hermes, the Parisian harness-maker and founder of the house.
