Histoires De Carres (translated from Mandarin)
Phoenix Myth of Coloring Art
Designed by Laurence Bourthoumieux
Phoenix is called the undead bird in Greek mythology. This huge and beautiful mysterious firebird lived for hundreds of years, then set itself on fire, and was reborn from a nest covered with myrrh and frankincense. The ancient Greeks associated the jujube tree (phoinix in Greek), which symbolized abundance and logevity, with this bird. The phoenix soared from the center of the square scarf, surrounded by the leaves and fruits of the legendary jujube tree.
The composition of the Phoenix Myth designed by illustrator Laurence Bourthoumieux is now reinterpreted with a new color set design, which is very similar to the style of a coloring book, and it is like a far-reaching story. The surroundings of the bird of heaven are filled with gorgeous colors. Color, its head is also gradually stained with the color of life. In this way, the black-and-white pattern was gradually depicted in various colors, as if the immortal bird had been reborn from its own ashes.
