Hermes Histoires De Carres - 2015 (As translated from Mandarin Chinese)
Horsecourse
This square scarf depicts a group of famous gentlemen, wearing top hats and wide-brimmed sun hats and brightly colored silk tops. Looking at the life-like picture, we seem to hear the voices of the characters in the painting. The painting style of Jean-Louis Clerc, a Swiss artist born in the early 20th century, has a unique painting style. His light and flexible brush strokes and color rendering style have won him appreciation and favor of many people. In 1950, he met Mr. Robert Dumas, the head of Hermes at the time, and with the cooperation of both sides, twelve square scarves were born. Among them, the square scarf of the "horse riding course" vividly outlines the scene on the horse riding course before the horse racing. The horse meets and communicates with its owner, jockeys, elegant people and gamblers here.
