Histoires De Carres > Spring-Summer 2020
Kermit Oliver's first scarf, created in 1984 at the request of Jean-Louis Dumas, becomes double-sided and invites all kinds of fantasies. Two faces of Pani La Shar Pawnee echo each other: its traditional versin on one side, its bandana version on the other. Sumpuosly dressed, the great leader holds a sculpted peace pipe featuring a galloping horse. He is surrounded by horses and riders inspired by the sketchbooks of Karl Bodmer, a 19th- century painter, illustrator and photographer.
