Histoires De Carres > Printemps-Ete 2012
Each Hermes scarf is a universe unto itself, a world meaning, form and colour. And the energy, power and modernity these colours convey are instant. Forget thinking, the impression is immediate! As though hurled against the scarf, the paint runs free, and with time forms colours and stains, the shimmers creating shadows and nuances. At the centre, to better seal the union of the colour and the scarf, lies the house's bookplate: the "harnessed duke and its waiting groom" overlap the H of Hermes, framed by two caduceus, Greek mythological symbols of the god of the same name. Their lines again are those of a young man. Watch out, the paint's wet!
