Prayers in the Wind

Buddhist pilgrims armed with prayer wheels (visible at the four corners of the scarf) walk about a stupa, the sacred monument which houses holy relics and whose complex architecture, dominated by the hemisphere, symbolises the Elements. Up there in the clouds eagles also circle, which point like truth towards Heaven, and above the monasteries, from which emanates the quiet murmuring of meditation and asceticism.
