In 2004, Henri d'Origny created a photographic composition of various equestrian pieces that were conserved at either the Conservatoire des Creations or the Emile Hermes museum. Set within a harmonious frame, bronze stirrups, English bits, Ottoman spurs and fly-whisks form an elegantly structured ensemble. Entirely redrawn in pencil, Projects carres embodies an understated sensuality of line. The interplay of symmetry reveals motifs full of lightness, as if suspended in mid-flight.
