Letting her hand flow freely over the paper in a movement she herself describes as "semi-automatic", Florence Manlik expresses the mystery of our innermost thoughts and dreams. A harmonious pattern of interlaced forms is inscribed in negative space against a botanical background, like a vision of the mind, an enigmatic composition of strange flowers, plants and rocks. Manlik's precise but light touch forms, in her own words, "floral and mineral elements, a sparkling, psychedelic celebration explored via a meandering path, slow, infinite and hypnotic".
