Spring has sprung and a horse rises up triumphant like an inspirational muse - Flora, goddess of flowers, are you there? Elevated to the rank of a deity of nature, the powerful animal rears up in the breeze to show off his colourful coat of flowers and leaves from the four corners of the world. The liberated blooms display their indomitable nature and fly out behind him, revealing his legendary body. Captured in the moment by Theo de Gueltzl, the horse is depicted on his hind legs, like a new ideal in equestrian art.
