Histoires De Carres > Printemps-Ete 2009
Such as a comic strip, the carre recounts the tale of a child and a silk scarf, through a series of tiny naive images. Like a kite, the carre dances in the wind. It is caught up in flight by a bird and then set free, falling onto a small boat where a child picks it upo, shakes it and lets it flutter in the wind, before dipping it into the ocean to tease the fish. On the beach, a horse stands by. The child hoists himself onto its back and embarks on a happy canter, giving wings to the carre. The tale evokes the amusing, airy and sensual side of silk. As light as a sail and as delicate as a bird, the silk carre is as free as the wind, floating in drunken joy.
