Histoires De Carres > Autumn-Winter 2022
It was a brave decision to tackle the classic Springs design from 1974! Dimitri Rybaltchenko, great-nephew of its creator, Philippe Ledoux, has reworked the scarf in cubic form, creating a mise en abyme of tradition in a single stroke. Now we just have to reassemble the pieces of this kaleidoscope puzzle: can you spot the tiny details of Napoleon II's phaeton? Each ornamental detail of the carriage - the bees, the Grand-croix of the Legion d'honneur, the imperial seal - has been meticulously drawn as it appears on the life-sized version conserved at Schonbrunn Palace.
