Le Carre Hermes > Spring-Summer 2013
A long history of working together links Hermes to France's National Maritime Museum. In 2010, the latter presented marvelous models made at the request of Admiral Paris, an insatiable discoverer. Engineer, painter, illustrator. ethnologist, and writer, he travelled the seven seas and became Curator of the Museum in 1871. With Aline Honore having taken full liberty in interpreting his models, she thus pays tribute to the man and to the exhibition, as it is also the name of the scarf. From the Tagus River to Calcutta, while travelling through Chili or Pondicherry, this is an invitation to travel in silk - for oneself.
