Year 2017 - Issued to benefit the Conservation Research Foundation for the conservation of the Thousand Budda Caves in Dunhuang, China.

• The Thousand Budda Caves, open to the public since 1980, are located in Dunhuang, an oasis at a religious and cultural crossroads on the Silk Road. They form a complex of nearly 500 Buddhist temples. The first caves were dug in the year 366. The excavation work lasted until the 14th century. They are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
