Le Carre Hermes > Autumn-Winter 2014
A vast land that inspires extremes, Texas prides itself on its particularly varied flora and fauna. This beautiful composition portrays an image of untamed nature. And who better than Texan Kermit Oliver to depict the majestic nilgai antelope in its natural environment, around which gather the musk hog with its garland of pale fur, the young spotted mountain lion or the wild turkey of the Rio Grande?

- The Caesar Wildlife Conservation Foundation was established by Caesar Kleberg for wildlife conservation. Caesar Kleberg (1873 – 1946) was a visionary in wildlife management. With his wildlife management and conservation initiative, well ahead of his time, Kleberg established strict hunting rules. At his death, there were more deer, wild turkeys, and doves at the King Ranch than in the rest of the state.
