Ville Et Chateau De Jamac 1610 (La) Special Issue
Carres d’Art >> Carres Hermes Editions Speciales
Published for the Delamain Cognac House.
- Delamain was founded in Jarnac, France, in 1824. It is one of the oldest cognac houses, particularly renowned for its very high quality cognac. The history of the town of Jarnac is inseparable from that of cognac. The town, strategically located on the river route of the barges that transported goods to the ocean, saw the course of its history disrupted in the 18th century. The installation of the first merchants led to an unprecedented commercial boom. The castle of Jarnac, an ancient fortress of the Charente, no longer exists.
